Always looking beyond the horizon we have spread our wings to Tanzania, East Africa. A beautiful, challenging and exhilarating country, our search ended when we found Rivertrees Country Inn. Standing in the shadow of magnificent Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and Mount Meru, Rivertrees encompasses the philosophy of La Chaumine. The very best in private board and lodging it sits amongst acres of natural gardens along the Usa River, between both peaks. Mount Meru is technically more challenging but vertically challenged by Kilimanjaro, whilst Africa's only active volcano, Mount Lengai, perhaps the most stunning climb of them all - is only half a days drive away. For 'mountain lovers' expeditions to spectacular Mount Kenya and the Rwenzoris ranges (the Mountains of the Moon in Uganda) can also be arranged.
