Start at the top of
Pic Blanc alt:3327m. Once you have crossed the long ridge you leave all noise,
lift and other skiers far behind you. This attractive sector offers three
options, descent down La Combe du Loup, La Pied Froid and Couloir du Cerisier.
La Combe du Loup is a beutiful bowl. A user "skiers" friendly south facing slope wich is easy to get to.It is a magnificent slope overlooking La Meije sector towards the village of Clavans. The wall of the Comb du Loup is not that steep in soft snow and offers great skiing. La Coulior du Cerisier. This picturesque route can be accessed from the Chateau Noir traverse. There are two couloirs, one that you can reach after 20 minutes hike and you see a straight east-facing couloir (250m) wich leads into the Cersier bowl. The other variation is easy to get to from the travers towards Comb du Loup. Bothe couloirs will join into the Cersier bowl. Ski down to the lake, turn slightly to the right, and a series of nice slopes will take you underneath the Pied Froid ridge, travers skiers right towards the Col du Sarenne and then back to Auris or Alp d´Huez. You can aslo continue after the lake to Clavans. |
