Start at the top of
the signal chair lift, ski about 100 meters down the pist leading to the
bottom of the Roche Mantel, three-man chairlift. At the top of the first
big wall traverse off the pist to reach a cornice, wich is easy to cross.
From here an average slope with a long flat section leads to a round dome,
ski around on the right -hand side. Keep traversing on the more gentle inclines
until you have passed the face to the other side. Ski down, angle more to
the left until you have gradually left this bowl. You will arrive to a shoulder
at alt:2650m. A new section of a narrow and steep 40° slope, Jacotte
ridge. Follow the wide ridge until a flat section, then a slight climb. The
slope eases out gradually, after wich you need to traverse above a rock-face.
A nice wide and steep west-facing slope opens up for approx 500 vertical
meters down to the village of Cuculet. |
